Account Executive, Mid-Market (AI for Finance Teams) Location: Remote, US Eastern time (New York area a plus) Base: $120,000 to $150,000 | OTE: $240,000 to $300,000 About the company My client is an early-stage AI company building software that does the hands-on work of the financial close for corporate finance and accounting teams. The product is winning the 65% of competitive deals it enters, and demand is currently strong. The team is small, so every hire has real impact. You'll be one of a small group of Account Executives building the go-to-market motion, with a large amount of autonomy and a direct line to leadership. The role You'll own deals end to end with mid-market and small-enterprise companies, typically 200 to 1,000 employees and $25M+ in revenue, including some public companies. Customers are mostly in the US, with some in Europe. Run the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demo, evaluation, negotiation and close. Sell to the Office of the CFO. Controllers are usually your champions, with CFOs, VPs of Finance and Chief Accounting Officers as economic buyers. Manage deals with ACVs from around $20K to $100K+ (median around $40K) over a 75 to 90 day sales cycle. Work strong inbound and company-generated demand, while building your own pipeline through outbound prospecting. Help shape the sales process, messaging and playbook as the team grows, and feed what you hear from customers back to product. What you'll bring 3+ years of closing experience as an Account Executive (4+ preferred), not counting SDR/BDR time. A clear record of top performance: consistent quota attainment, President's Club or similar. Experience selling to controllers, CFOs or other senior finance and accounting stakeholders. A background in mid-market or small-enterprise sales, and a genuine appetite to keep selling at that level. Willingness to prospect and build your own pipeline, even when inbound is healthy. A self-starter mindset. You don't need a fully built playbook, heavy process or day-to-day coaching to perform. Nice to have: experience selling financial close, accounting or finance automation software. Working arrangement Fully remote, working US Eastern hours. Travel to the company's Midtown Manhattan office about once a month for a couple of nights, plus occasional events and conferences.

Compensation

Base salary of $120,000 to $150,000, with variable pay on top for an OTE of $240,000 to $300,000.
