Description

The Staff Accountant supports the Accounting team with accurate and timely financial processing, monthly close activities, reconciliations, and related accounting functions. This is a remote role requiring residence in the Arlington / Smokey Point / Everett, Washington area to enable regular in-person meetings with the Director of Accounting & Finance. Periodic travel to Anchorage may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting  or related field
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience (public or industry)
• 5+ years successful remote work experience
• Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel skills
• QuickBooks Desktop experience required
• Healthcare or multi-location experience a plus
• Self-directed remote worker able to meet close deadlines
• Willingness to learn AI project and tool creation
• Reliable camera and willingness to attend meetings on camera

Preferred

• Experience with HR/payroll platforms (PayNorthwest, ADP, UKG, or similar)
• Familiarity with AI tools for accounting analysis, reconciliation, or reporting (e.g., Copilot or equivalent)
• Experience supporting remote collaboration tools (Teams, Outlook)

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; 5+ years progressive accounting experience; 5+ years remote work experience; strong GAAP and Excel skills; QuickBooks Desktop experience; reliable camera for meetings; periodic travel to Anchorage.
