About the position Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking resumes for an Adjunct Professor of Educational Technology in the School of Education. Adjunct professors are responsible for delivering professional quality work as teaching faculty. This includes conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum, preparing and delivering lectures, compiling, administering, and grading examinations, and providing academic assistance to students. The role offers the opportunity to impact the college mission to inspire students to 'Dedicate to Graduate'. The ideal candidate will be available to teach courses in both face-to-face and online formats, including in-person instruction on the Lee Campus, as needed to support departmental scheduling. Unofficial transcripts must be submitted with the profile to strengthen candidacy.

Responsibilities

• Conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College
• Preparing and delivering lectures to students
• Compiling, administering and grading examinations
• Providing academic assistance to students as needed
• Teaching courses in both face-to-face and online formats
• Providing in-person instruction on the Lee Campus, as needed to support departmental scheduling

Requirements

• Doctoral or Master's degree in Educational Technology OR Doctoral or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in a combination of Educational Technology and Educational Technology curriculum and instruction courses
• Three years of successful full-time permanent teaching in related K-higher education classrooms as evidenced with a portfolio, teacher evaluation, or reference checks verified and maintained by the School of Education
• Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline
