Position: AEM Backend Developer Location: Remote About the Role: We are looking for an AEM Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable solutions on Adobe Experience Manager. You will work closely with front-end developers, architects, and content teams to deliver high-quality digital experiences. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain AEM components, templates, and services using Java, Sling, and OSGi Build custom workflows, servlets, schedulers, and event handlers Integrate AEM with third-party systems, REST APIs, and databases Manage content structure and configurations in the JCR Configure and optimize Dispatcher and caching rules Work with AEM as a Cloud Service or AEM 6.5 environments Write clean, well-tested code and perform code reviews Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance and security Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment Required Skills: Strong experience in Java (8/11/17) and J2EE Hands-on experience with AEM (6.5 or Cloud Service) Solid knowledge of Apache Sling, OSGi, JCR, and Sling Models Experience with Maven and AEM project archetypes Understanding of Dispatcher configuration Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar) Good understanding of RESTful services and JSON Good to Have: Adobe Certified Expert (AEM Sites Developer) certification Experience with Adobe Cloud Manager Knowledge of HTL (Sightly), JavaScript, and basic front-end concepts Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud tools (Analytics, Target, Launch) Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Strong problem-solving and communication skills
