AI Research & Experimentation Intern Rocksalt | Remote | Paid, hourly | Flexible hours Help us figure out how AI search really works. Rocksalt is an early-stage AI startup exploring how brands get discovered and recommended by ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other AI engines. We’re looking for a curious, resourceful intern to design and run experiments that uncover what actually drives visibility in AI search (AEO/GEO). What you’ll do Design creative, controlled experiments to understand how AI engines discover, rank, and cite content. Build and deploy websites, tools, and scripts to run experiments at scale. Measure results, analyze patterns, and turn findings into actionable insights. Own experiments end-to-end, from hypothesis to execution to conclusions. Who we’re looking for A CS, engineering, or related student (ideally 2nd or 3rd year). A scientific thinker who enjoys testing hypotheses and figuring out how things work. A self-starter who moves quickly, works independently, and can build tools and scripts with minimal guidance. Comfortable learning unfamiliar technologies, APIs, hosting, and deployments.
