About the Company

C3 Technology Advisors helps organizations make informed technology purchasing decisions. The firm advises clients on evaluating, procuring, implementing, and managing technology solutions throughout their lifecycle. Its culture is guided by five core values: Deep Caring for the Success of Others, Ingenuity & Action, Curiosity, Confidence, and Extreme Ownership.

About the Role

C3 Technology Advisors is seeking a hands-on AI leader to turn promising ideas into practical solutions, repeatable workflows, and measurable business results. This role will help shape the company’s AI strategy and identify opportunities to improve how teams across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Finance work. The position combines strategic planning with technical execution and change management. The ideal candidate can evaluate AI tools, develop prototypes, guide implementation, work with external partners, and help employees adopt AI confidently. This person will also establish appropriate standards and safeguards so the company can benefit from AI while managing privacy, security, and accuracy risks.

Key Responsibilities

Review and validate the existing AI strategy and recommend adjustments where needed. Work with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to identify high-value AI use cases. Prioritize opportunities, develop a clear implementation roadmap, and support budgeting. Evaluate AI platforms, run pilots, and recommend whether solutions should be built internally or purchased. Establish and maintain AI architecture and technical standards. Build prototypes, integrations, and lightweight tools when direct development is the fastest way to deliver value. Lead AI adoption across the company through training, playbooks, prompt libraries, and practical guidance. Help employees understand and use AI effectively, including those who may be skeptical about adopting new tools. Define meaningful success metrics, monitor results, and report progress to leadership. Develop practical policies covering data privacy, security, and acceptable AI use. Manage relationships with external AI partners and determine which work should be handled internally versus by outside providers. Required Qualifications 7–10+ years of experience in AI, data, product, or another technical role. At least 2 years of hands-on experience deploying AI in a working environment. Proficiency with current AI tools, Microsoft-centric programs, programming languages, and related technologies. Strong understanding of modern AI capabilities, including large language models (LLMs), assistants, automation, and retrieval, along with the judgment to determine when these approaches are appropriate. A track record of driving adoption and helping teams incorporate new technologies into their workflows. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with both skeptical team members and cautious senior stakeholders. Ability to move between strategic planning and practical technical work, including developing prototypes. Understanding of AI-related privacy, security, and accuracy risks, with the ability to establish safeguards without unnecessarily slowing implementation. Willingness to travel to West Michigan several times a year. A four-year degree is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience introducing AI at a small or growing company. Experience in telecommunications or technology consulting. Experience with HubSpot. What Success Looks Like First 90 Days Develop a clear understanding of where AI can provide value, establish a prioritized list of use cases, deliver one or two visible improvements, and put sensible AI usage and data policies in place. First Year Achieve measurable AI adoption across multiple teams, demonstrate improvements in time savings or output quality, and help build a more AI-capable organization with appropriate safeguards for continued progress. Work Arrangement and Location This is a remote position. Candidates located within one hour of Grand Rapids, Michigan, are preferred. Candidates based elsewhere in the Midwest will also be considered. Travel to West Michigan is required several times a year.
