AV Design Engineer – Venue and Entertainment

Job Description:

Design AV systems for large-scale projects including stadia, broadcast facilities, performing arts centers, museums, casinos, and auditoriums
Develop detailed project documentation including Scope of Work, Contracts and Terms and Conditions, Programming and Functionality Scope, and maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle
Create Bills of Materials (BOM) and prepare quotes for projects
Utilize AutoCAD, Vectorworks, EASE, BIM/Revit, and Bluebeam for design, markup, and takeoffs
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met and maintain strong professional relationships
Perform site visits, walkthroughs, onsite commissioning, client training, and project handover as required
Ensure compliance with project phases from bid work through completion, maintaining quality and accuracy at each stage
Apply thorough knowledge of Audio, Video, Lighting, Control, Networking, Rigging, and Electrical systems in all design work

Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in AV system design for large-scale projects such as stadia, broadcast facilities, performing arts centers, museums, casinos, and auditoriums
CTS-D and/or CTS-I certifications highly preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, EASE, BIM/Revit, and Bluebeam for PDF markup and takeoffs
Thorough understanding of Audio, Video, Lighting, Control, Networking, Rigging, and Electrical systems as they relate to AV design
Comprehensive knowledge of all project phases from bid work through completion, including documentation and lifecycle management
Ability to produce detailed technical writing including Scope of Work, Contracts and Terms and Conditions, Programming and Functionality Scope, and maintain accurate project documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to work autonomously and confidently with clients and internal teams
Ability to create Bills of Materials (BOM) and quotes
Willingness to perform site visits, walkthroughs, onsite commissioning, client training, and project handover as required
