Job Title: AWS Cloud TypeScript Developer Location: Remote

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AWS Developer with strong TypeScript development skills to support a critical Automation and Workflow initiative for our client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications and automation solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS). This resource will collaborate with the existing AWS and Automation/Workflow teams to provide additional technical expertise, accelerate project delivery, and address development challenges. This is initially a limited-duration engagement supporting a high-priority business initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications using AWS and TypeScript. Develop and enhance serverless applications and automation workflows. Collaborate with AWS engineers, developers, and the Automation/Workflow team to deliver project requirements. Build, deploy, and troubleshoot AWS services and cloud-based solutions. Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable TypeScript code. Implement and integrate REST APIs and event-driven applications. Assist with debugging, performance optimization, and production support. Follow cloud security best practices and development standards. Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and code reviews. Provide technical expertise to resolve development bottlenecks and meet project timelines.

Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript. Experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS services. Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch. Experience with Node.js backend development. Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams. Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, and SQS/SNS. Experience building workflow automation and orchestration solutions. Knowledge of AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform. Experience with DynamoDB or other AWS database services. Familiarity with serverless and event-driven architectures. Experience implementing cloud monitoring, logging, and security best practices. AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certification is a plus. This is the targeted compensation range for this role.
