Position Summary:

The AWS DevOps Engineer designs, automates, secures, and supports AWS cloud environments and CI/CD platforms. This role serves as a technical expert in Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud operations, security, observability, and deployment automation

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Design, deploy, and support AWS infrastructure across Development, QA, and Production environments.

·         Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, including reusable modules and standardized deployments.

·         Administer AWS IAM, networking, encryption, authentication, and secrets management while enforcing security best practices and least-privilege access.

·         Support cloud platforms and services including RDS, Glue, Athena, CloudWatch, and related operational tooling.

·         Develop automation solutions using Python and Git-based workflows.

·         Collaborate with engineering teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, reliability, and observability.

·         Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and cloud platform issues.

·         Participate in on-call support and other assigned duties.

·         Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

·         Hands-on experience administering AWS cloud environments.

·         Strong knowledge of IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring, and cloud security principles.

·         Experience supporting AWS services including RDS, EKS, Aurora, Glue, Athena, and CloudWatch.

·         Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, including reusable modules and state management.

·         Proficiency with Python scripting, Git source control, and CI/CD automation.

·         Ability to diagnose and resolve production cloud infrastructure issues.

·         Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

·         Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

·         Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with AWS cloud technologies.
• 2+ years of professional experience using Terraform in production environments.

Physical Requirements:

·         Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

3+ years AWS experience, 2+ years Terraform in production, Python scripting, Git, CI/CD automation, Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent, authorized to work in US, English proficiency.
