About the Opportunity: The BILLING REPRESENTATIVE role is critical to maintaining accurate billing and payer reimbursement processes. This position supports administrative functions to ensure claims and payments are handled efficiently, directly impacting the financial health of the clinical practice. The role contributes by managing interactions with payers, correcting billing errors, and supporting special projects, which are essential for sustaining smooth revenue cycle operations. Responsibilities: Prepare reconsiderations to payers. Process payer rejections. Review payer payments. Complete special department and physician projects. Prepare billing error corrections, refunds, and itemized bills for patients and attorneys. Interact with third-party payers to verify reimbursement benefits and claim status. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum two years medical billing experience in a physician's office or graduation from a medical billing program. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Preferred: Knowledge of medical insurance policies, reimbursement, medical terminology, and experience with insurance websites.
