Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities

Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and accounting standards. Process payroll accurately and efficiently, including deductions, benefits, and compliance with relevant regulations. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections while verifying invoice accuracy. Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify account balances and identify discrepancies promptly. Utilize various financial software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other accounting systems to record transactions and generate reports. Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for internal review and external reporting needs. Support budgeting processes through account analysis, expense tracking, and financial data organization to aid strategic planning.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial software tools. Solid knowledge of GAAP standards, general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and journal entries. Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and account reconciliation procedures. Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and report writing. Familiarity with public accounting practices or non-profit accounting is a plus but not required. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of budgeting techniques and financial concepts necessary for effective account analysis.
