The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day financial recordkeeping, including maintaining accurate ledgers, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing basic financial statements, tracking expenses and revenues, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. The role will involve working within accounting software, assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and relevant financial policies. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide timely financial information, support audits, and contribute to process improvements in the finance function.

Qualifications

Strong bookkeeping skills, including accurate recordkeeping and ledger maintenance. Experience with financial statements and understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Hands-on proficiency with accounting software and related finance tools. Knowledge of finance principles and practical experience posting and reviewing journal entries. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to identify discrepancies. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly. Comfort working remotely, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines independently. Prior experience in an agency or service-based business environment is a plus. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
