Business Operations Specialist

Remote · United Kingdom Full-time

Job Title: Business Operations Specialist Monthly Pay: $4,357 - $5,848 USD per month Summary: Each shift begins with the open work queue, where internal requests, updates, and follow-up items are reviewed before other priorities. As a Business Operations Specialist, you keep routine internal requests moving by organizing task details, checking information, and making sure teams can act on clear updates. Maintain working trackers in a spreadsheet and data entry tool such as Microsoft Excel, confirming that dates, categories, and status fields match current information. Coordinate routine handoffs between operations, finance, vendor contacts, and team leads so each group understands pending actions and dependencies. Send concise updates to internal requesters, clarify missing information, and confirm when a task has been assigned, completed, or needs additional review. Follow up on open items according to established priorities, documenting responses and updating the assigned owner when circumstances change. Escalate blocked requests, conflicting information, overdue actions, or unclear ownership to the operations manager with complete notes and relevant context. Prepare simple status summaries that highlight completed work, open priorities, recurring questions, and items needing leadership attention. Maintain quality through accuracy, timely turnaround, complete notes, and consistent follow-up on every assigned request. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. About 1-2 years of related operations, coordination, office, or internal service experience preferred. Familiarity with organizing requests, tracking action items, maintaining status updates, and supporting routine operational workflows. Working knowledge of a project management tool such as Microsoft Project and a spreadsheet and data entry tool such as Microsoft Excel preferred. Ability to review information carefully, identify missing details, and communicate practical next steps to internal contacts. Strong written and verbal communication for clear updates, follow-up messages, and escalation summaries. Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accurate task ownership and due-date visibility. Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet private workspace, with availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times. Authorization to work in the United States. Perks & Benefits: Fully remote work from a dedicated home workspace in Oregon, United States. Structured onboarding and training on Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel. Regular check-ins with the operations manager for priorities, feedback, and support.
