  • Develop strategies to grow existing partnerships and build new referral relationships.
  • Identify high-potential providers, practices, specialties, and healthcare organizations within assigned markets.
  • Use referral and account data to prioritize outreach, identify opportunities, and re-engage declining or inactive partners.

Build Healthcare Relationships

  • Develop relationships with physicians, APPs, practice managers, referral coordinators, care managers, social workers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Conduct proactive outreach through phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person engagement when appropriate.
  • Educate partners on Thriveworks services, referral pathways, availability, locations, specialties, and accepted insurance.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact and build relationships across multiple levels of strategic accounts.

Improve the Referral Experience

  • Help partners navigate the Thriveworks referral process and remove barriers to patient access.
  • Promote adoption of referral tools, including the Patient Referral Dashboard.
  • Identify recurring partner needs and collaborate internally to improve the referral experience.
  • Maintain strong follow-through on partner commitments, meetings, and growth opportunities.

Develop Your Territory

  • Research healthcare markets and identify new partnership opportunities.
  • Build relationships with health systems, physician groups, primary care, OB/GYN, specialty practices, urgent care, and other referral sources.
  • Prioritize accounts based on referral potential, performance, and strategic value.
  • Maintain accurate account and activity information in Salesforce.
  • Use CRM, dashboards, and referral data to evaluate performance and prioritize opportunities.
  • Partner with Growth, Marketing, Clinical Operations, Analytics, Patient Access, Billing, and other teams to address partner needs and support growth.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, healthcare outreach, sales, account management, provider relations, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence with outbound outreach and developing new relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize opportunities independently.
  • Comfort using data and performance metrics to drive decisions.
  • CRM experience; Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Strong ownership, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Must live in New Mexico or Oklahoma

Success is measured by both activity and outcomes, including:

  • New client visits and referral growth
  • New and expanded referral partnerships
  • Reactivation of declining or inactive accounts
  • Expansion across providers, offices, departments, and locations
  • Effective outbound outreach and account management
  • Patient Referral Dashboard adoption
  • Salesforce accuracy and follow-through
