Role Description The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy and execution for JLH Consulting and its client engagements. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing comprehensive marketing plans, overseeing market research initiatives, and guiding brand positioning across pharmaceutical, biotech, consumer, and digital sectors. The CMO will manage marketing budgets, direct public relations activities, and coordinate closely with sales leadership to align marketing programs with revenue objectives. This role includes mentoring and managing a marketing team, setting performance metrics, and ensuring consistent messaging across digital and traditional channels. The CMO will also participate in senior leadership discussions, contribute to business development, and represent the company in key client meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Market Planning and Marketing Management skills to design and implement integrated marketing strategies. Candidates should possess Market Research skills to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. Candidates should possess Public Relations and brand communication skills to manage media outreach and strengthen corporate reputation. Candidates should possess Sales and commercial collaboration skills to align marketing initiatives with business development and revenue goals. Candidates should have experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, consumer, or digital industries, with a track record of leading cross-functional marketing teams. Candidates should demonstrate strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and proficiency with modern digital marketing tools and analytics platforms. Candidates should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and comfort working in a remote, fast-paced environment. Candidates should ideally hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or have equivalent relevant experience.
