Job Title: Remote Chinese Consecutive Interpreter – Inexperienced

Reviver Global’s Consecutive OPI - VRI Interpreter plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between individuals who speak different languages. Consecutive interpreters work by listening to a speaker in one language and then rendering their speech into another language after a brief pause.

As a consecutive interpreter, you will bridge language gaps, ensuring clarity and understanding in various over-the-phone situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation services during phone calls, meetings, conferences, interviews, and more.

• Listen carefully to the speaker in the source language and convey the message accurately in the target language.

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout the interpretation process.

• Respect HIPAA requirements and comply with Reviver Global policies and industry best practices as required by Reviver Global.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English.

• For non-native Mandarin speakers: HSK Level 5 or 6 certification is required.

  • Certificate validity: 2 years.

• Proof of English language proficiency with a "Technical Proficiency" rating under the national ILR scale or equivalent.

• Completion of a Mock Call assessment with a passing score.

• Criminal background check in English.

• Technical infrastructure to support interpretation assignments, including a headset, stable internet connection, and laptop.

Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English; HSK Level 5 or 6 for non-native speakers; English proficiency at Technical Proficiency level; passing Mock Call assessment; criminal background check; headset, stable internet, laptop.
