About The Role Ambitus is looking for civil engineering grad students to contribute to a high-priority research project. This is a remote contract position focused on advancing AI capabilities in building design. The project will center on translating 2D technical architectural (A) and structural (S) drawing sheets into 3D IFC building models. You’ll be asked to provide prior building drawing (A and S sheets) and model file (IFC or Revit format) pairs for compensation and may receive additional opportunities for hourly work involving modeling and quality review. Core Responsibilities Provide 2D A and S technical drawing sheets and 3D IFC models of complex buildings from prior work or projects Create accurate 3D IFC models based on technical drawings Review architectural files for completeness and accuracy against project specifications

Qualifications

In the process of obtaining or has recently obtained a master’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering or a related discipline Prior experience in producing architectural drawings for complex buildings Proficient in creating 3D IFC models of complex buildings using modeling applications such as ArchiCAD or Revit Application Process Apply on our site to be considered for the role.
