Open role
Clinical Review Pharmacist
Clinical Review Pharmacist (Infusion Prior Authorization) ๐ Remote (US), Eastern or Central time preferred About the Opportunity The Las Olas Network is partnering with a fast-growing specialty infusion organization on a confidential, retained search for a Clinical Review Pharmacist. This full-time, fully remote pharmacist will be the clinical quality check on infusion orders. They'll make sure every request is clinically appropriate, meets payer requirements, and is fully documented before authorization is submitted. This is a new seat created by growth, not a replacement. The team wants a pharmacist who has worked on the review side (health plan, PBM, or UM vendor) and knows how payers actually apply their medical policies. They should be able to spot likely payer objections before submission, so patients get into the chair faster. What You'll Own Conduct medical necessity reviews of infusion orders for commercial and government payers, applying the right payer-specific medical policy to each case Review the full patient chart against payer criteria, including diagnosis, step therapy, lab values, dosing, and continuation-of-therapy documentation Check the dosing on every order and raise any discrepancies with the ordering provider before the order moves forward Maintain the payer guideline policy database as the source of truth, flagging and updating policy changes quarterly Tell sites, navigators, and providers exactly what is needed and why Build the case when a request is denied: root-cause analysis, tailored letters of medical necessity, and support for appeals or peer-to-peer calls Work with intake and clinical operations leaders on denial strategy, order sets, and drug preparation sheets
