Role Description The Cloud Engineer (Remote, Entry-Level) will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and services that help Latinx In Sports deliver digital initiatives. This part-time remote role involves assisting with cloud environment configuration, monitoring system performance, and helping ensure reliability and security of infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks may include working with Linux-based systems, databases, and basic software development scripts to automate routine operations. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, document technical processes, and contribute to scalable solutions that support the organization’s community and content platforms.

Qualifications

Foundational skills in Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, with an interest in learning modern cloud platforms and services. Basic experience or coursework in Software Development, including scripting or programming for automation and tooling. Working knowledge of Linux environments, including command-line operations and system administration fundamentals. Understanding of Databases, such as relational or NoSQL systems, including basic querying and data management concepts. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in an entry-level engineering role. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a remote and distributed team. Interest in the sports industry and in supporting Latinx representation and community-building efforts. Relevant coursework or a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
