Country Manager – Insurance & Investments: Job Description Department: Executive Management / Insurance & Financial Services Role Summary The Country Manager – Insurance & Investments is responsible for leading and managing country-level business operations across insurance and investment services. The role focuses on developing business strategies, expanding market presence, driving revenue and profitability, managing client and partner relationships, overseeing investment activities, and ensuring compliance with local financial regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement country-level business strategies, operational plans, and long-term growth initiatives. Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, expand customer segments, and establish strategic partnerships with insurers, investors, banks, and financial institutions. Sales & Revenue Growth: Drive sales of insurance products and investment services to achieve revenue, profitability, and market-share targets. Insurance Operations: Oversee insurance product distribution, policy sales, client servicing, renewals, and relationships with insurance providers. Investment Management: Supervise investment-related business activities, portfolio performance, asset allocation, and investment opportunities, where applicable. Financial Management: Manage budgets, revenue forecasts, operating costs, and financial performance to ensure sustainable business growth. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial, operational, investment, and insurance-related risks. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local insurance laws, financial regulations, investment guidelines, and anti-money laundering requirements. Client & Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, high-net-worth individuals, institutional investors, regulators, and business partners. Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, and develop sales, insurance, investment, and operational teams to achieve organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Insurance, or a related field. MBA, master's degree, or relevant professional certifications in finance, insurance, or investment management preferred. Typically 8–15+ years of relevant experience in insurance, investment management, financial services, or business leadership, depending on the organization. Proven experience in country-level management, business development, sales leadership, or financial services operations. Strong knowledge of insurance products, investment services, financial markets, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, develop strategic partnerships, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams.
