CP Field Techniques Instructor Requirements Certification and Experience CP 2 Technician or Corrosion Specialist + CP 1 Tester certification 5 years cathodic protection experience 5 years cathodic protection equipment experience, including knowledge of a rectifier is a must Education Must meet one of the following: High School Graduate/GED with an additional 10 years’ work experience 4 Year Diploma Professional Engineer Advanced Education (Master’s or PhD) Course Level Mastery Must have taken the course and passed any exam (If applicable). AMPP Membership Must hold an active membership to apply. Personal References 3 references from a past supervisor, current or former colleague, and/or personal friend (non-relative).
