About the Role

EquiLife is a founder-led functional medicine company offering supplements, lab testing, protocols, and health coaching. We're hiring a Creative Director to turn our brand and product stories into creative that looks right, reads right, and converts. You'll lead a small creative team, supported by contractors as workload requires, and stay hands-on in concepting, design, and copywriting. We're an AI-forward company. We expect this leader to use AI tools daily to produce better creative faster, and to build them into how the team works. Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer Location: Fully remote (EST or CST preferred)

What You'll Do

Concept and direct brand-led campaigns that bring EquiLife products to life across our DTC site and supporting channels, with paid social, email, and SMS as the primary channels. Partner with the marketing team on product launches, promotions, and other creative projects.Write copy from product marketing briefs, turning approved product claims into clear, persuasive messaging. Lead one full time direct report and a bench of contractors: set priorities, give clear direction and feedback, and keep work on schedule. Stay hands-on in concepting, design, and copywriting when the workload calls for it. Run an AI-first creative workflow across concepting, copy, design, and asset variations. Set standards for how your team and contractors use AI, and keep quality and brand standards high. Design for the equi.life ecommerce experience, from product pages to checkout, with a strong grasp of UX. Develop print packaging with our packaging designer and the operations and regulatory teams. Work with the technical ecommerce team to bring approved designs to life in Shopify, providing the assets and input they need. Keep creative briefs moving from request to launch alongside the team. Bachelors' degree in Art, Creative Services or similar. Experience in the functional medicine, vitamins, supplements or health and wellness industry a plus. A portfolio showing ideas carried through to finished, high-performing work. Strong writing skills and the ability to turn a brief into polished, persuasive copy. Required: hands-on experience using AI tools for creative work (concepting, copy, image and design generation, asset variations), with examples of work you produced faster without lowering quality. Solid understanding of ecommerce UX and DTC channel creative: email, SMS, and paid media. Experience or exposure to print packaging design or production and ability to oversee a resource handling print and packaging design. Ability to work with technical teams to bring designs to life in Shopify. Comfort working within regulatory guardrails on health and supplement claims. Organized, self-directed, and willing to roll up your sleeves.
