If you are passionate about forging deep customer relationships, championing advocacy, and accelerating growth through strategic marketing initiatives, this is the role for you.

Why This Role Matters

As the Customer Marketing Manager at careerpulse, you will be the linchpin between our Customer Success, Account Management, and Product Marketing teams. Your strategic vision and hands‑on execution will shape how we engage with our largest retail customers, turning them into enthusiastic advocates and driving both upsell and cross‑sell revenue streams. This is a high‑visibility position that directly influences customer satisfaction, retention, and overall company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and Strengthen Customer Relationships – Partner with Customer Success and Account Management to design and launch customized engagement programs that deepen loyalty and drive adoption across enterprise accounts.
  • Standardize Communication & Engagement Frameworks – Develop a repeatable, best‑in‑class approach for customer touchpoints, train cross‑functional teams, and ensure consistent messaging that resonates with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Drive Upsell and Cross‑Sell Initiatives – Collaborate with Product Marketing and Account Management to craft data‑driven campaigns, promotions, and product bundles that address specific customer pain points and unlock new revenue opportunities.
  • Organize High‑Impact Customer Events – Plan and execute virtual and in‑person events—including webinars, roundtables, and user conferences—that showcase best practices, foster community, and generate advocacy.
  • Champion Customer Advocacy – Work closely with satisfied customers to develop case studies, testimonials, and speaking opportunities that amplify their success stories and position careerpulse as the industry benchmark.
  • Measure & Optimize Performance – Define key performance indicators (KPIs) such as adoption rates, Net Promoter Score (NPS), retention, and revenue growth; leverage analytics to continuously refine strategies.
  • Elevate the Voice of the Customer Program – Capture and translate customer feedback into actionable product enhancements, ensuring our roadmap aligns with the evolving needs of enterprise clients.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in customer marketing, customer success, or related roles within a SaaS environment, preferably serving enterprise‑level retail accounts.
  • Demonstrated track record of designing and executing successful upsell, cross‑sell, and advocacy programs that delivered measurable revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of the challenges faced by large retail organizations and the ability to tailor strategies that address those challenges.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multifunctional teams—including Customer Success, Account Management, Product, and Sales—to achieve shared objectives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering compelling presentations, workshops, and event facilitation.
  • Strong analytical mindset; comfortable working with data dashboards, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools to drive insight‑based decisions.
  • Customer‑obsessed attitude with a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences that foster long‑term loyalty.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI‑driven platforms or frontline employee experience solutions.
  • Background in retail technology, merchandising, or supply‑chain software.
  • Advanced certifications in marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) or project management (e.g., PMP, Agile).
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling community programs or user groups.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus, given careerpulse’s global footprint.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Strategic Thinking – Ability to see the big picture, anticipate market trends, and align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
  • Project Management – Expertise in planning, executing, and delivering complex programs on time and within budget.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making – Proficiency in interpreting metrics, conducting A/B testing, and iterating based on results.
  • Relationship Building – Skilled at nurturing executive‑level relationships and influencing stakeholders across the customer lifecycle.
  • Creative Storytelling – Talent for turning customer success into compelling narratives that resonate internally and externally.
  • Collaboration & Influence – Comfortable working in matrixed environments and rallying cross‑functional teams around shared goals.

  • Continuous learning programs, including certifications, workshops, and conferences focused on SaaS marketing, AI technologies, and retail innovation.
  • Opportunities to lead high‑visibility projects that directly impact company revenue and shape the future of the careerpulse platform.
  • A clear career ladder that can lead to senior director or VP‑level roles within the Marketing organization.
