About the Role

DataCouncil is seeking a Data Entry Specialist for a full-time, remote position. The successful candidate will be responsible for entering, updating, verifying, and maintaining information across company and client systems. This role requires strong typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and correct data discrepancies. The Data Entry Specialist will also organize records, conduct routine data quality checks, follow confidentiality procedures, and collaborate with internal teams to support administrative and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

Enter data accurately from various source documents into company and client systems. Update and maintain records to ensure information remains complete and current. Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Identify and correct discrepancies in records and entries. Organize and maintain electronic records and information. Perform routine data quality checks in accordance with established procedures. Follow data security and confidentiality requirements when handling sensitive information. Collaborate with internal teams to clarify data requirements and resolve information-related issues. Respond to basic data-related inquiries. Support administrative tasks and reporting requirements as needed. Manage assigned work independently while meeting deadlines.

Required Qualifications

Strong typing and data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy. Computer literacy, including proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and common office software. Clear and professional communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Effective time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in data entry or an administrative role. Experience providing customer service or administrative assistance to internal stakeholders. Familiarity with data privacy and information security best practices. Additional training in office administration or information management.
