Databricks Resident Solution Architect Location: San Francisco, CA — Remote considered; must work PST hours Duration: 8–12 Months Work Authorization: US Citizen Preference: Public Sector experience; Security Clearance preferred Role Overview Seeking an experienced Databricks Resident Solution Architect to design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms and Databricks solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong consulting/client-facing experience and a proven record of end-to-end Databricks implementations. Key Requirements 12–15+ years in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, Data Analytics, and Modern Data Warehousing. 10+ years of consulting/client-facing delivery experience. 6–8+ successful Databricks implementations as Developer, Technical Lead, or Solution Architect. Advanced Databricks certification, preferably Databricks Data Engineering Professional. Strong cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. Advanced Apache Spark expertise, including performance tuning and optimization. Hands-on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Structured Streaming, ETL/ELT. Strong knowledge of Unity Catalog, Workflows, MLflow, Delta Live Tables (DLT) and Lakehouse architecture. Experience with CI/CD and DevOps using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins. Working knowledge of MLOps, model deployment, lifecycle management, and monitoring. Strong troubleshooting, architecture, scalability, performance, and cost-optimization skills. Databricks Solutions Architect Champion experience is a strong plus. Public Sector experience and Security Clearance are preferred. Preferred Profile US Citizen + 12–15+ years experience + 6–8+ Databricks implementations + advanced Databricks certification + strong cloud/Spark expertise + public sector experience.
