The project is focused on transitioning configuration management from Chef to Ansible and improving the consistency, maintainability, and efficiency of automated infrastructure operations. About The Role As a Senior DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Automation Developer, or Ansible Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain automation that supports infrastructure configuration and deployment. A central focus of the role is helping migrate existing Chef-based automation to Ansible while ensuring that the resulting playbooks and workflows are understandable, reusable, and aligned with operational needs. You will use Python and other appropriate scripting techniques to support automation and improve engineering workflows. This is a remote opportunity for someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with a distributed team, and contribute across the development and delivery lifecycle. The role also involves using AI-assisted coding approaches where appropriate to support Ansible development, while applying sound engineering judgment and reviewing generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include professional experience in DevOps or infrastructure automation, hands-on expertise with Ansible, and strong Python skills. You should be comfortable creating, reviewing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation code, as well as investigating issues across configuration and deployment workflows. Responsibilities
