Open role
Director of Financial Development
Company Description
Almanac (YC S26) helps engineering teams keep durable knowledge close to the code by creating AI-maintained wikis directly for their codebases. The platform transforms real development activity—such as pull requests, debugging sessions, and architectural decisions—into living documentation that resides inside the repository. Through the hosted Almanac GitHub App, the system continuously watches repository activity and runs approved wiki updates in a secure sandbox. Validated documentation changes are then committed back to GitHub, ensuring that technical knowledge remains accurate, current, and tightly integrated with everyday development workflows. Role Description The Director of Financial Development is a full-time remote role responsible for leading Almanac’s financial strategy, planning, and growth initiatives. This role oversees budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and long-term capital planning to support sustainable expansion. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed financial analysis, monitoring performance metrics, preparing management reports, and advising leadership on investment and resource allocation decisions. The Director collaborates closely with executive leadership, product, and operations teams to align financial objectives with company goals, strengthen financial controls, and support fundraising or partnership activities as needed.
