Role Description The Director of Payment Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of Kovra Pay Inc.’s payment infrastructure. This role manages daily payment flows, reconciliations, exception handling, and operational risk controls to ensure reliability and accuracy. The Director will design and optimize operational processes, establish performance metrics, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements. Day-to-day activities include leading and mentoring an operations team, collaborating with product, engineering, and compliance stakeholders, and resolving complex customer and partner issues. The role also involves developing operational budgets, forecasting resource needs, and contributing to strategic decisions that improve scalability, efficiency, and customer experience.

Qualifications

Strong Operations Management experience, including ownership of payment or financial operations processes and performance metrics. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret operational data, identify trends, and drive evidence-based decisions. Proven Team Management capabilities, including hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing, distributed teams. Budgeting skills for planning, forecasting, and managing operational costs in alignment with company goals. Customer Service expertise in resolving complex issues and maintaining strong relationships with partners and customers. Experience in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services operations is highly beneficial. Familiarity with risk management, controls, and regulatory considerations related to payment processing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions in a remote environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
