Role Description The Executive Vice President of Finance at Huscarl (YC P26) is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading all financial strategy and operations for the organization. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning to support growth and sustainability. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting cycles, reviewing and interpreting financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The EVP of Finance will partner with senior leadership on strategic decisions, provide data-driven insights, and implement controls and processes that safeguard company assets. This role also involves building and mentoring a high-performing finance team, optimizing systems and tools, and collaborating cross-functionally to align financial goals with operational priorities.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Finance, with demonstrated experience in Financial Planning and long-term budgeting. Proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Advanced Analytical Skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive decision-making. Experience leading finance teams, including mentoring, performance management, and organizational design. Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS, tax considerations, and regulatory compliance relevant to growth-stage companies. Background in building and improving financial processes, controls, and technology systems. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and present to boards or investors. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred. Experience in startup or high-growth environments, ideally with venture-backed companies, is a strong plus.
