It involves working closely with experienced agents to understand proper procedures and build practical skills. As a Field Enforcement Agent 1, you will perform the following duties: - Field Investigation Support: Assist with investigations of businesses and individuals suspected of violating various tax laws - Compliance Activities: Participate in outreach, inspections, and canvassing to identify unregistered operations and explain tax requirements - Evidence and Reporting: Gather information, prepare investigative reports, and organize records for potential legal action - Tax Collection Efforts: Evaluate taxpayer information, seek payment of delinquent taxes, and help establish payment plans - Operational Readiness: Maintain assigned equipment and vehicles, and complete required logs and administrative reports - Public Interaction: Build positive relationships with taxpayers, business entities, and partner agencies Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: - Full-time employment - Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch - Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: - Four years of experience in tax investigation work; or - Four years of experience in collections operations in a business, commercial, industrial, government, or finance office; or - An equivalent combination of experience and training Special Requirement: You must possess an active motor vehicle license Additional Requirements: You must reside in Luzerne County. Relocation is not an option.
