About the Role

Viridian Asset Management is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Finance Manager to oversee financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and financial operations. This role will support strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial insights, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring efficient financial management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in corporate finance, financial analysis, and accounting, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis to support business planning and strategic initiatives. Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. Budget Management: Monitor operating expenses, analyze financial performance, and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring, and financial resource allocation. Accounting Oversight: Coordinate general ledger activities, account reconciliations, month-end closing, and year-end financial processes. Investment Finance Support: Assist with investment-related financial analysis, portfolio expense tracking, performance reporting, and financial data reconciliation, as applicable. Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain effective financial controls and support compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies. Audit Coordination: Work with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers as needed. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, and improve financial systems. Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with senior management and relevant teams to provide actionable financial insights and support business growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial planning and analysis, or a related discipline. Previous experience in asset management, investment management, financial services, or a related industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial controls. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools; experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly. High attention to detail, integrity, and sound professional judgment. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment. Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and applicable financial reporting requirements is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA, CMA, CFA, or other relevant professional certification. Experience supporting investment funds, portfolio accounting, or asset management operations. Experience developing financial models, management reports, and performance dashboards. Strong understanding of financial risk management and internal control frameworks.
