Role Description The Fractional Chief Growth Officer is a part-time, remote role focused on driving sustainable growth across WTM Media’s ecosystem of editorial and intelligence offerings. This role involves developing and executing growth strategies that align commercial initiatives with WTM’s mission and editorial independence, including market positioning, audience expansion, and revenue optimization. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading sales and business development efforts, shaping go-to-market plans for new and existing services, and collaborating with editorial and leadership teams to build thought-leadership and strategic partnerships. The role also includes overseeing growth-focused marketing and digital marketing activities, setting measurable performance targets, and refining processes based on data-driven insights. The Fractional Chief Growth Officer acts as a strategic advisor, helping WTM Media strengthen its global reach and impact while preserving its values and integrity.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in Sales and Sales Management, with a track record of building pipelines, closing complex deals, and developing relationship-based revenue. Proven Business Development skills, including identifying new markets, designing partnership strategies, and shaping commercial offerings for B2B clients. Strong Marketing and Digital Marketing capabilities, with experience in positioning high-value intellectual or media products, audience growth, and performance optimization. Background in strategy, growth leadership, or senior commercial roles within media, consulting, intelligence, or similarly complex, knowledge-driven organizations. Ability to work remotely and asynchronously with cross-functional teams, demonstrating clear communication, accountability, and collaborative decision-making. Comfort with systems thinking, analytical problem-solving, and data-informed experimentation to refine growth strategies and channels. Experience engaging senior executives and organizations on strategic issues; proficiency in presenting complex ideas in clear, accessible language.
