Freelance Social Media & Community Outreach Specialist (1099 Independent Contractor, 6-Month Contract) The Small Business Corner | Remote, U.S. | $20 per hour Be the friendly voice that gets small business owners talking. Small business owners keep Main Street running, and we want to hear how it’s really going for them. The Small Business Corner makes, AI-forward education content for owners: and a Community Corner where owners connect. Our free 5-minute survey, Main Street Pulse, helps us build what they actually need. We’re looking for a freelancer who’s great at starting real conversations with owners online and inviting them in. What you’ll deliver Qualified survey responses (the main goal): invite real small business owners to take the Main Street Pulse survey through organic outreach: real conversations, comments and personal messages where owners already are (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook groups, Reddit and local business communities). We can support you with our email list, but it isn’t the main channel. Social content: a content calendar and about [5] posts a week across our channels, including short clips made from our course videos. Community growth: invite survey takers to join the Community Corner, with a target of about [25] new members a week. A weekly summary with each invoice: what you delivered, results by source, what worked, and what you’ll try next. What counts as a qualified response Completed by a real small business owner or operator Fully completed, with no duplicates, bots or fake entries Tracked to you through your survey link Anything that fails our review doesn’t count toward your target Ground rules No spam: no copy-paste blasts, mass unsolicited messages, fake accounts, or bought followers or responses Follow each platform’s rules and applicable laws Represent The Small Business Corner honestly. Don’t promise anything we haven’t approved. Contract details Term: 6 months, starting the week of November 16, 2026 Target: 1,000 qualified survey responses per month (about 250 a week) Pay: $20 per hour, up to 30 hours a week, paid by invoice, net 30 You run your own schedule. Work when and where you like. A weekly strategy call, about 45 minutes, at a time that works for both of us Your own tools: your own computer, software and phone. We’ll give you access to our brand accounts and link tracking. You’re free to take other clients, as long as there’s no conflict and you keep our materials confidential. You’re responsible for your own taxes and expenses. No benefits are included.
