Role Description The Fresher Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level) at Centre d'Etudes et de Formation pour le Développement - CEFOD will support data-related activities across various projects. This part-time, remote role involves collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. The Data Analyst will assist in basic data analysis, creating simple reports, charts, and dashboards to help project teams understand key trends and metrics. The role also includes documenting data processes, maintaining databases or spreadsheets, and supporting senior team members with ad hoc data tasks. Collaboration with colleagues through online tools and clear communication of findings are essential parts of the day-to-day work.

Qualifications

Ability to work with spreadsheets and databases, including organizing, cleaning, and validating data. Basic skills in data analysis and visualization (e.g., using charts, graphs, or dashboards). Comfort with using common digital tools for remote work, such as collaboration platforms and cloud storage. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a structured approach to problem-solving. Good written and verbal communication skills to present data findings clearly and concisely. Ability to learn quickly, follow guidance from senior team members, and work independently in a remote setting. Motivation to develop a career in data analysis or related fields; prior internship or academic project experience is an advantage. Relevant academic background in statistics, economics, social sciences, information technology, or a related discipline (completed or in progress). Interest in development, research, or educational projects is beneficial; familiarity with CEFOD’s mission is a plus.
