• Familiarity with SQL Server administration tools, including SSMS and basic use of monitoring dashboards for daily operational tasks.
• Willingness and ability to escalate issues promptly and accurately to L3 DBAs with relevant observations, logs, and collected evidence.

Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience assisting in the administration of Microsoft SQL Server production environments, including basic Instance start/stop activities and routine operational maintenance.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server backup and recovery operations, including full/differential/log backups, restore execution under guidance, and verification of backup success.
• Familiarity with SQL Server preventive maintenance tasks, including index maintenance, statistics updates, and execution of scheduled maintenance jobs using standard scripts or plans.
• Ability to perform basic SQL Server health checks, including monitoring disk space, database growth trends, and identifying common availability risks for escalation.
• Basic exposure to SQL Server performance monitoring, including identifying slow running queries, monitoring CPU, memory, and I/O utilization, and capturing diagnostics for L2/L3 review.
