In this role, you will contribute to a C++ application environment where thoughtful engineering, product quality, and collaboration are essential. You will work with colleagues across technical and non-technical disciplines to investigate challenges, deliver useful functionality, and improve the experience of users. Jobrapido values clear communication, accountability, continuous learning, and an inclusive spirit of partnership. The team welcomes people who bring curiosity, sound engineering judgment, and a desire to make a meaningful contribution. About The Role Jobrapido is hiring a C++ Developer for a remote position. The role calls for professional game-development experience or experience in a closely related game-client or engine environment. You will work in a large, mature codebase and help deliver user-facing features that balance reliability, performance, accessibility, and usability. This position is suited to an engineer who enjoys following technical problems across system boundaries. Issues may involve application or interface state, local storage, network communication, service responses, content metadata, or differences between platforms. You will take ownership from initial investigation through implementation, testing, and resolution, keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring that changes are carefully validated. Location: Remote. The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 and $90,000. Pay within this range may vary based on geography and market conditions, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Qualifications

Candidates should have professional experience delivering production software in modern C++, using C++14 or later; experience with C++20 is preferred. Professional game-development experience, or closely related experience developing game clients or engines, is required. You should be comfortable debugging and maintaining a substantial, established codebase and be able to investigate complex defects that cross application, storage, service, content, and platform boundaries. You will bring a user-focused approach to software development, with attention to stability, performance, accessibility, and usability. Strong ownership is important, as is the ability to move work forward independently while seeking input when appropriate. Clear written and verbal communication skills are essential. You should be able to collaborate effectively with engineers, product partners, and other disciplines, explain technical findings, and contribute constructively to shared decisions.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, maintain, and validate production features in C++. Investigate defects in a mature codebase, identify root causes, and develop solutions that are appropriate to the affected systems and user experience. Trace behavior across interface state, local data, network and service responses, content metadata, and platform-specific implementations. Review relevant code and tests, assess the potential impact of changes, and help prevent regressions through careful validation. Own assigned work from investigation to closure, communicate progress and risks, and coordinate with teammates and partner disciplines to deliver reliable outcomes. Contribute to code quality, maintainability, and performance while helping the team improve its development practices and technical understanding.
