The Role As the Head of Perception, you will own the end-to-end architecture for the perception stack. You will drive technical strategy across multi-sensor ingest, world modeling, and relative navigation. Responsibilities include establishing rigorous engineering practices for high‑reliability software, designing for embedded edge hardware, and ensuring a secure, government‑ready delivery workflow. You will lead and mentor a growing team of over 10 engineers, bridging the gap between cutting‑edge research and practical, scalable mission capability. The Essential Requirements 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on systems architecture. Expert knowledge of Computer Vision and Machine Learning within production‑grade systems. Proven experience developing software for robotics, autonomous vehicles, or unmanned systems. High proficiency in C++ and Python. Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional technical teams. Knowledge of GPU-based programming (CUDA) and performance optimization techniques. What Will Make You Stand Out An active U.S. Security Clearance. Previous experience developing and deploying space‑certified flight systems. Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native architectures and secure DevSecOps pipelines. A strong professional network within the autonomous systems or aerospace engineering community.
