Veritas is seeking a Heavy Equipment Appraiser to produce physical damage estimates for tractor-trailers, coordinate with partners in the field, communicate with and service clients effectively, and facilitate ultimate resolution and satisfaction on transportation claims. The right candidate will possess significant knowledge and experience in this respective field, effective interpersonal communication skills, advanced critical thinking skills, and practical time management skills.

The right candidate for this position will possess a high degree of relevant experience and be able to easily convey this knowledge and information to outside parties, including clients. Comprehensive knowledge of physical damage to tractor-trailer units is essential.

Responsibilities

Write accurate and timely estimates on physical damage to tractor-trailers Coordinate effectively with partners in the field to yield timely and valid results Communicate in a professional and eloquent manner with outside parties, namely clients Engage in critical thinking and problem solving to meet client expectations on difficult files Appropriately manage full to heavy case loads Identify and clearly convey information needed to partners in the field Maintain elite level of quality on all files, including work done by outside partners

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience handling Heavy Equipment Claims. Prefer 5+ years of experience. Minimum of 3 years' experience working for an insurance carrier.
