Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement workflow systems for accurate and timely completion of medical records. Interface with physicians and staff to optimize documentation processes. Manage the department budget, seeking opportunities to decrease costs and improve service quality. Establish and monitor departmental goals, policies, and procedures in line with professional standards. Train and oversee department employees, tracking productivity and performance. Prepare accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Provide training on concurrent review, abstracting, and coding of medical records. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Records Management, or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred. 3 to 5 years of prior experience in a Medical Records department. 2 years of supervisory experience in Medical Records management. In-depth understanding of state/federal regulations and compliance standards (CMRI, NCQA, The Joint Commission). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with various software used in medical records management. Must have at least one of the following certifications: CCS – Certified Coding Specialist RHIA – Registered Health Information Administrator RHIT – Registered Health Information Technician Our client is a leading Healthcare Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
