Hospice RN – After-Hours | Home-Based On-Call Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care | Home Care Make a Difference After Hours—Without Spending Nights at a Facility Looking for a nursing opportunity that offers independence, flexibility, and meaningful work? At Mountain Valley Hospice, our after-hours nurses provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients and families when they need it most. Unlike traditional night shift positions, our after-hours RNs are primarily on-call from home, responding to patient needs and making visits when necessary. You'll have the independence to work from home between patient care needs while remaining available to provide hands-on nursing care throughout your assigned service area. Available Schedules We have several after-hours nursing opportunities: Monday–Thursday: 5 PM–8 AM Friday–Sunday: 4 PM–8 AM Rotating Nights: 5 PM–8 AM, with every other weekend scheduled Why You'll Love This Opportunity Home-Based On-Call: Spend time at home between patient care needs instead of reporting to a facility for your entire shift. What You'll Do

Respond to after-hours patient and family calls. Assess patient needs and provide nursing guidance and support. Make in-home patient visits when clinical needs require hands-on care. Collaborate with the hospice care team to ensure continuity of care. Provide comfort, symptom management, and compassionate support to patients and families.

What We're Looking For

Current RN license. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently and respond to changing patient needs. Hospice, home health, or related nursing experience preferred. Ability to remain within the assigned service area during scheduled on-call hours and travel to patients' homes when needed.
