Our client, an established law firm, is expanding its insurance litigation team to support existing client demand. They are looking for attorneys who can take ownership of substantive matters, provide practical legal advice, and work closely with partners, clients, and support staff. The Opportunity They are seeking an experienced attorney to handle insurance coverage analysis and related litigation. The position combines substantive legal writing, client advisory work, and responsibility for developing case strategy and moving matters toward resolution. Depending on experience and assignments, this attorney will evaluate policies and contracts, prepare coverage recommendations, and handle discovery, motion practice, depositions, and dispute resolution proceedings. They are interested in attorneys who enjoy working through complex legal questions, communicating recommendations clearly, and managing matters independently while collaborating with an experienced team. Attorneys with a combination of insurance coverage and defense litigation experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Analyze insurance policies, contracts, claim materials, and relevant law to evaluate coverage obligations and potential exposure. Prepare coverage opinions, legal memoranda, and practical recommendations for clients. Develop case strategies and manage assigned matters through litigation or other dispute resolution proceedings. Draft pleadings, substantive motions, written discovery, and settlement documents. Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses as assignments require. Participate in hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation. Communicate with clients about case developments, strategy, and resolution options. Coordinate with partners, other attorneys, experts, and support staff. Manage competing deadlines and maintain organized matter documentation.

Qualifications

A qualifying law degree and active bar admission in good standing. Five or more years of relevant insurance coverage or litigation experience preferred. Experience analyzing insurance policies, advising on coverage issues, or litigating insurance disputes. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Experience handling substantive litigation responsibilities and communicating directly with clients. Sound judgment and the ability to develop clear, practical recommendations. Strong organization and attention to deadlines. Ability to manage work independently while collaborating with a legal team. Admission appropriate to the assigned work, with specific requirements discussed during the interview process. Work Arrangement They offer fully remote arrangements for experienced attorneys whose assignments support independent work. Attorneys who would benefit from closer mentoring may need proximity to an office. Any office attendance or travel expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
