Position: Insurance Defense Associate Attorney Location: Fully Remote - California Compensation: Up to $175,000 + Bonus About the Opportunity: I'm currently recruiting for an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join an established California litigation practice with extensive experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, product liability, and premises liability. Candidates with a general civil litigation background who are interested in transitioning into insurance defense are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: Handle civil litigation matters involving product liability and premises liability. Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents. Manage discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and related case preparation. Evaluate liability, damages, and potential litigation strategies. Assist with settlement negotiations, case resolution, and trial preparation. Maintain communication with clients and other parties while managing an assigned caseload. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar. Experience in civil litigation; insurance defense experience is a plus. Interest in handling product liability and premises liability matters. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment. Billable Hours: 1,800 annually. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 – $175,000 annually . Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
