We’re hiring an Insurance Operations Assistant to organize account documents, track outstanding requests, and help licensed account managers prepare for policy renewals. This is an administrative position. You will not sell insurance, recommend coverage, bind policies, or make claims decisions. Your place on the team You’ll report to the Operations Supervisor and support a small group of account managers. They’ll provide priorities and handle questions requiring insurance advice or approval. Your work will include Checking account files against established document checklists. Entering verified information into the agency management system. Requesting missing administrative details using approved templates. Tracking renewal dates and outstanding document requests. Comparing names, addresses, policy numbers, and effective dates across records. Routing coverage questions to licensed team members. Maintaining clear notes and preparing weekly status summaries. Experience that fits You have at least one year of experience in administrative support, document processing, customer service, or insurance operations. You’re comfortable working with spreadsheets and PDF documents, writing professional emails, and managing several deadlines. You can recognize inconsistent information and ask for clarification before updating a record. Insurance experience is helpful, but not required. A college degree and insurance license are not required for the duties described. The working arrangement Employment - Full-time employee; Compensation - $23–$27 per hour, based on relevant experience; Schedule - Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Eastern Time; Paid hours - 40 per week, including a paid 30-minute meal break each day; Location - Fully remote within North Carolina; Travel - None; We provide a company laptop, required software, and paid training.
