They are seeking a JavaScript/Node.js Developer to join a collaborative engineering team responsible for developing backend services and APIs that support millions of users. Responsibilities

• Building scalable Node.js microservices in a cloud environment
• Expanding API functionality across multiple applications and services
• Supporting platform modernization efforts through containerization and cloud technologies
• Enhancing application performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Contributing to CI/CD and automated testing practices
• Collaborating with product and engineering teams to deliver new customer-facing capabilities

Requirements

• 1-3+ years of professional software development experience
• Hands-on experience with Node.js
• Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and/or TypeScript
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts, promises, and the Node.js event loop
• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker or containerized applications
• Knowledge of software testing practices including unit and integration testing
• Experience working within an Agile development environment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS services, including Lambda
• Exposure to microservices architecture
• Experience with React, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab
• Experience supporting production applications in a cloud environment
