Role Description The Business Managing Director is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing Nansen’s commercial strategy, operations, and performance. This role will lead cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth, strengthen strategic partnerships, and expand the company’s global footprint in the crypto analytics space. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting business objectives, managing budgets and forecasts, reviewing performance metrics, and ensuring alignment between product, sales, marketing, and customer success. The Business Managing Director will negotiate key deals, support enterprise customer relationships, and identify new market opportunities while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This leader will also mentor team members, foster a high-performance culture, and continuously improve processes to keep Nansen competitive and scalable.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in executive or senior leadership roles, ideally in fintech, crypto, SaaS, or data analytics. Strong background in business strategy, revenue growth, and P&L ownership, with the ability to define and execute long-term plans. Proficiency in commercial operations, including sales leadership, partnership development, and go-to-market planning. Experience working with data-driven products or analytics platforms, with a solid understanding of blockchain and the crypto ecosystem. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and inclusive leadership style. Proven ability to lead distributed, remote teams, drive accountability, and build scalable processes and workflows. Comfort with using performance metrics, dashboards, and financial reports to make informed, timely business decisions. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) is advantageous. Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments and adapting quickly to market and regulatory changes.
