For our client, we are seeking a Managing Engineer - Cloud Security Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead a cloud security engineering function focused on building secure, scalable solutions that support modern delivery across the technology organization. The position combines hands-on technical leadership with team development, ensuring engineering priorities are aligned to business needs and production reliability. The ideal candidate will partner closely with stakeholders to translate complex security requirements into automated, durable engineering outcomes. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $195,000 annually

Responsibilities

Lead and develop an engineering team focused on cloud security software solutions Set technical direction and ensure high-quality execution of projects Provide hands-on technical leadership during design reviews and code assessments Maintain the reliability and effectiveness of products in production Collaborate with stakeholders to align on priorities and delivery plans Foster an engineering culture focused on modern delivery practices Translate complex security needs into automated engineering solutions Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in software, cloud, platform, or security engineering 2+ years of experience in a leadership role with hands-on technical guidance Expertise in securing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP Strong proficiency in Python, Bash, Terraform, and automation tools Ability to convert security requirements into scalable engineering solutions
