About the job: We are seeking a MLRO/Compliance Officer with experience in Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF). This is a remote, part-time position for a US-based entity. The ideal candidate has held senior or mid-level AML/CTF and Compliance positions in payment companies (PSPs). This role involves supporting and enhancing our existing AML/CTF operations and strengthening the compliance framework to align with our business goals and regulatory responsibilities. This position may be combined with your current job, provided there is no conflict of interest. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily AML/CTF operations and implement best practices for client and merchant onboarding, website screening, transaction monitoring, and anti-fraud settings, ongoing monitoring. Act as the designated official authorized by FinCEN to ensure full regulatory compliance, oversee reporting obligations, and manage communications with the regulator. Oversee compliance with local and international regulatory standards. Participate in communications related to requests and audits from/with our partners and regulatory bodies within the scope of expertise. Prepare and submit reports within the scope of the AML/CTF compliance framework and regulatory requirements. Participate in developing and maintaining extensive documentation in the field of AML/CTF compliance. Adherence and update procedures for preventing money laundering, corruption, terrorism financing, KYC compliance, and adherence to sanctions and embargoes. Stay updated with local and international regulatory changes to ensure compliance. Collaborate with various company teams to reinforce and develop the overall business compliance strategy. We expect an ideal candidate to have the following qualifications and skills: A bachelor’s degree in finance, Law, or a similar area. At least five years of experience in a compliance role within a payment company in a senior or mid-level compliance/AML officer capacity. Comprehensive understanding of AML/CTF best practices, with a strong preference for candidates with knowledge in e-commerce and IPS compliance rules and practices. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Proficiency in English. Professional certifications will be considered as an advantage. Experience in virtual currency-related operations, monitoring, and compliance will be considered an advantage.
