Title: Sr Network Solutions Architect Duration: 12+ Months Location: Remote Job Summary: The architect will define future-state architecture, develop scalable and reusable network solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through implementation Must Have Skills: Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) for capital expenditure (CapEx) projects Create network topologies, site Wi-Fi/cellular heatmaps, and Statements of Work (SOWs) Network solution design involving switches, wireless access points (WAPs), and large-scale heterogeneous environments Proficiency in BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF Responsibilities: Develop enterprise network architecture and strategic technology roadmaps Design and review network solutions, ensuring scalability, reusability, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards. Present designs to Network Infrastructure Services teams to obtain feedback, guidance, and approvals Provide design reviews at 15%, 30%, 60%, 90%, and 100% completion stages Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) for capital expenditure (CapEx) projects Create network topologies, site Wi-Fi/cellular heatmaps, and Statements of Work (SOWs) Drive technology modernization, challenge existing approaches, and promote best practices Balance short-term technical solutions with long-term enterprise goals Required: 10+ years of experience across IT disciplines, including enterprise network operations Strong hands-on expertise in network architecture, routing, and switching Proficiency in BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks, architectural modeling, SOA, and software design Network solution design involving switches, wireless access points (WAPs), and large-scale heterogeneous environments Experience designing and implementing enterprise SOA solutions Preferred: Transportation industry experience and broad knowledge of networking technologies
