The Opportunity A growing industrial field services company is looking for an Operations Manager to lead its Western US business. This is a remote role with roughly 25% travel to job sites and customers. You’ll run the region end to end: safety, people, customers, project delivery, and financial results, working alongside sales, scheduling, and senior leadership to grow revenue and improve margins. Location and Travel Remote, based in the Western US (Pacific of Mountain Time Zone preferred) About 25% travel to customer and job sites What You’ll Do Set the tone on safety and make sure crews work safely and in compliance on every job Manage regional operations, including staffing and deploying field crews, keeping projects on schedule and on budget, and supporting bids and proposals Track and improve key metrics like utilization, backlog, productivity, and billing turnaround Find the root causes of quality issues and fix them so work gets done right the first time Partner with leadership on budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial reviews, and take action when results fall short Hire, develop, and hold accountable a team of field leaders and schedulers spread across multiple locations Be the escalation point for customer issues and look for ways to grow existing accounts Assess equipment, facility, and staffing needs and make recommendations to support growth Build processes that hold up as the region scales What You Bring 5+ years in industrial or field services, such as lifting, inspection, specialty mechanical, or similar Experience leading field teams and schedulers Hands-on P&L experience, including forecasting and managing to budget Comfortable leading a remote, multi-site team Strong judgment and problem-solving in a fast-moving field environment Clear communicator with crews, customers, and executives Microsoft Office and web-based systems proficiency Degree preferred but not required
