Short Summary: The D.O.S.E. Impact Lab is seeking a creative and organized Podcast Production & Digital Media Coordinator to help develop and launch The Invisible Backpack, a student-led podcast introducing middle school students to STEM, healthcare careers, education, and HBCU opportunities. This volunteer will assist with podcast planning, episode development, audio production, and digital content creation. Description About The D.O.S.E. Impact Lab: The D.O.S.E. Impact Lab is a nonprofit organization dedicated to opening doors to science, service, and smiles through STEM education, oral health awareness, literacy, and career exposure. One of our upcoming initiatives, The Invisible Backpack, will provide middle school students with an opportunity to explore their interests, develop their voices, and learn about careers and educational opportunities through student-led conversations. Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and coordinating podcast episodes.
• Help organize episode topics, discussion questions, and guest interviews.
• Assist with recording, editing, and producing podcast audio.
• Develop short-form digital content for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Create episode descriptions, show notes, and promotional content.
• Research potential guest speakers, including healthcare professionals, HBCU students, educators, and STEM professionals.
• Assist with organizing digital media files and maintaining a production schedule.
• Collaborate with nonprofit leadership to develop a consistent podcast identity and production workflow.

Qualifications:

• Interest or experience in podcasting, broadcasting, journalism, communications, film, or digital media.
• Familiarity with audio editing software such as Audacity, GarageBand, Adobe Audition, or similar platforms.
• Experience with video editing tools such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Creativity and willingness to collaborate with a youth-focused initiative.
• Previous podcast production experience is preferred but not required.
